Alexandre Toufic Zard
OIES-Aramco Fellow
Alexandre Toufic Zard holds a Master’s degree in Energy Systems (MSc) from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (BEng) from McGill University. Throughout his studies and experiences, he has accumulated valuable expertise in emerging energy technologies, such as in the fields of tidal energy and hydrogen. His primary focus has been on assessing the impact of such emerging technologies on existing energy systems.
During his time at Oxford, Alexandre’s dissertation centered around the decarbonization of the transport sector. His research involved developing comparative models to determine the optimal utilization of hydrogen in heavy-duty vehicles, with the aim of achieving the decarbonization goals.
As an OIES-Aramco Fellow, Alexandre will be concentrating his research efforts on “Market Readiness of Low Carbon Heavy Duty Vehicles”.
