Visiting Research Fellow
Andrea Prontera is Assistant Professor of International Relations and European Union Institutions and Policies at the Department of Political Science, Communication and International Relations of the University of Macerata, Italy. He holds a degree in Social Science and Economics from the Bocconi University (Milan) and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Florence. He spent visiting periods at the Institute d’Études Politiques (IEP), Sciences-Po (Paris) and the Centre for Energy, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy (CEPMLP), University of Dundee. His main research interests lie in the areas of international political economy, comparative public policy, energy security and energy policy. Currently he is working on a book on the transformation of the politics of energy security in the European Union (‘The New Politics of Energy Security in the European Union and Beyond. States, Markets, Institutions’), that will be published in Spring 2017 by Taylor and Francis.
