Anas Damoun is a Business School graduate with a master’s degree in Economics from the University of Granada, Spain. Currently, Anas is a PhD candidate enrolled in the Quantitative Finance and Economics doctoral program, and a pre-doctoral research fellow at the University of the Basque Country (UPV EHU), fully funded by the Basque Government. His research focuses on electricity markets and the economics of cross-border grid interconnections. Outside of his academic career, he holds prior experience in public administration. During his stay at the OIES, Anas will be investigating the economics of interconnections involving electricity markets with heterogeneous designs.
