Hakim Darbouche
Research Fellow
Hakim Darbouche joined the Institute in April 2009. He is an expert and has published extensively on North Africa, focusing on energy, economy, politics and international relations. His research at the OIES also focuses on MENA gas markets. Prior to joining the OIES, Dr Darbouche served as an advisor on MENA affairs to a Brussels-based international organisation. He was also a visiting research fellow at the Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) in 2007. He read International Relations at the universities of Liverpool and Sussex. In Oxford, he is a senior member of St Antony’s College and a Region Head on the MENA desk at Oxford Analytica. He is also Deputy Editor of the journal Mediterranean Politics.
