Trading Natural Gas in the UK
The objective of this paper is to provide an overview of the UK1 gas market, how it has developed, where it stands currently and how it is likely to develop in the future. It provides a historical context in which to place the various contractual mechanisms by which gas is traded and points out some of the pitfalls and the issues of which companies should be aware in entering the UK gas market. It also offers some opinions on how gas trading might develop in the future.
