Robert Arnott
Senior Research Advisor
Robert Arnott is currently Executive Chairman of the exploration and production company DNO (UK) Ltd where he advises the company on international business development and corporate strategy. He is also a Senior Research Advisor to the Institute where he worked as a Fellow; his research focused on all aspects of mature oil and gas provinces, as well as the corporate strategies of the major energy companies, until March 2005. He has a strong background in all aspects of exploration and production and is recognised for his research on the upstream oil and gas industry. He worked as a geologist and economist with Royal Dutch Shell prior to entering the City in 1991, where he held senior positions as an oil and gas equity analyst for ten years.
